Interior Painting FAQ

How long does an interior paint job take?

It depends on the scope. Walls only in a single room can usually be done in a day. Add ceiling, trim, and doors, and you're looking at two days minimum once you factor in dry time between coats. For a full home repaint with furniture still in place, we generally plan for 4–7 days. Empty homes move faster, but working carefully around your life takes a bit longer. We'll give you a realistic, specific timeline at the estimate.

Do I need to move my furniture?

Please move smaller personal items, valuables, and anything fragile before we arrive. For larger furniture, we'll protect it in place with drop cloths and plastic draping, then put everything back in order when we're done.

How many coats of paint do you apply?

Two finish coats is our standard approach. That said, we're very open to working within your budget and talking through what makes sense for your specific project. We can't always match every budget, but we're always happy to have that conversation and find an approach that works for you.

What paint brands do you use?

We primarily use Sherwin-Williams, and occasionally Rodda Paint depending on what the customer prefers. We use professional-grade products — they apply better, cover better, and last significantly longer than builder-grade paint.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Honestly, we'd prefer you weren't — not because we don't enjoy meeting our customers, but because fewer distractions means we move faster and do better work. Most clients are happy to hand us a key and let us handle it. That said, we understand some people want to be around, and we'll make it work either way.
